I'll try to answer Belinda's questions briefly:

Q. Will the straps soften with use?
A. I think so, maybe. It would probably take a while though.

Q. Could the Hybrid serve as a diaper bag also?
A. Definitely. I could have fit a small pack of wipes, a few diapers, a juice box, hand sanitizer, etc.; in addition to my (large) wallet, iPhone, iPod, two USB thumb drives, small makeup bag, badges for work, large sunglasses, small notebook, and pouch full of coupons and business cards!

Q. Is the small tote obviously not leather?
A. Yes. However, I don't think it looks nasty, like a bag that's PVC but *trying* to look like leather. It's has a shiny patent leather look.

Also, for those of you out there curious about trying a Butler bag, have a look at eBay. I saw many listed there.

Thanks so much for the detailed review!
I have a few questions...
Do you think the leather on the hybrid straps will soften up after a little bit of use (assuming of course that you will actually use it some more ;) ??)
I have a two year old and am sick of getting around with 2 bags - Do you think the size of the hybrid would be adequate to carry a couple of nappies, small pack of wipes together with snacks etc in addition to essential day to day mummy stuff?
Also in your opinion is the small tote very obviously PVC as opposed to leather? I am just wondering whether I could get away with trying a PVC bag to begin with? Thanks again. Belinda.
