I’ve always been a fan of web portals. I used to use Crayon way back in the day, then a personalized Yahoo page as my homepage, and then I switched to the blessedly ad-free Myway. My new choice is a cool new service called Netvibes. I love it! The clean, Web 2.0 style interface; multiple, customizable tabs; modules and feeds…awesome. Admittedly, the list of really robust modules is a bit short right now, but growing all the time. If someone out there likes the service and is good at this sort of thing, please write a customizable module to show TV listings/favorite TV shows and submit it to the Netvibes Ecosystem.

Of course I can’t post about something else without including pictures of my baby. So here they are:

Getting ready to start Veronica in daycare, preparing to return to work, and now I find out that I may be looking for a job soon. Apparently the contract I was on before has gone south, and my future choices may be a hideous commute to DC, or moving on. If it comes to that, I’ll take moving on.

But at least I have this cute baby to distract me:

I think just about the best thing we’ve bought for her so far is her swing. She loves this thing. When she’s not staring in fascination at the mirror/mobile right above her, and trying to talk to her own reflection:
