Today they published an interactive chart that shows attunement paths for all the other BC dungeons (including Mt. Hyjal in CoT, but weirdly Black Temple is NOT included). I spent about 1/2 hour reading and re-reading it, highlighting various paths, and trying to understand it.

I don't get it.

Seriously, if you asked me to explain what needs to happen in order to access the Battle for Mt. Hyjal event - I couldn't. Hell, I can't even really tell you how to get into the Arcatraz. Overall I feel very confused looking at this chart, and it also makes me realize something - I just won't ever finish all these attunements and acquire all these keys. With my limited gaming time, it's never going to happen. NEVER.

I love being a mom and all but damn... There's a pendant, which drops kind of randomly off certain mobs, and long story short, you have to take it back to Lady Sylvanas in the Undercity. It belonged to her sister.

Anyway, when you turn it in, she sings a beautiful song about the "Sin'dorei," the blood elves who used to be high elves. I actually recorded the whole thing in Fraps, but I found I don't have to upload it - it's all over YouTube already! The game launches this Tuesday. I doubt I'll have my copy of the game by then, not sure when I will have it actually. But I think the first things I'm going to do, based on my experience in the beta, are:

1. Create a blood elf noob (probably a hunter)
2. Create a draenei shaman
3. Start getting new gear for my 60 priest and working her towards 70

Coming up next, screenshots from the beta. Whoa, dude...it's pretty phat. There is a HUGE amount of content, almost like too much. It's kind of overwhelming.

I'll post some screenshots this weekend - I've been playing it for about two weeks now, and have tried starting a Blood Elf noob (fun!), Draenei noob (sort of fun!), and copying my existing 60 over to level her to 70 (only 61 so far, but still fun!).

You Are So Dead

After I transferred Betteh to Kael'thas I joined a guild called You Are So Dead. Awesome! A fun bunch of people. In this screenshot, we just killed The Beast in UBRS. Here's another view.

Every now and then, you see something weird in WoW. Like when the big bad dragon is just sort of hanging out in Stormwind Castle. (I especially like the guy bemoaning his inability to turn in a quest.)

I included this screenshot because it shows the amount of crap that generally clutters my screen during a raid. It's a miracle I can see in front of me! However, it usually doesn't matter - as a priest, I'm generally playing what my friends in Guild Wars called "the mini game": watching everyone's health bars, throwing heals and cures as needed, and not really paying attention to the actual creeps. It doesn't sound like fun, but to the right kind of person (me), it's actually pretty rewarding.

Overdue

Wow. It's been forever since I posted on my WoW blog! Well I am playing WoW again. I transferred my one and only level 60 toon, Betteh, to Kael'thas to join some friends. It's lots of fun, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed WoW. When I was pregnant I kind of stopped playing because it always gave me motion sickness, then when I got really fat it was impossible to hold my laptop anymore!

So Betteh has some phat gear and a super-fast horse now. She just got attuned for Molten Core the other night; looking forward to some raids in there. I'm so far behind the rest of the WoW world! All the hardcore guilds are already raiding Naxxramas, doing Blackwing Lair every night and Ahn'Quiraj 40 every weekend. I'll never get caught up, but at least I'm having fun.

And the expansion comes out next month! And here's a nice screen of the portal (that does nothing) in Duskwood.

Five more levels!

Bling bling!

Not sure why I chose "Bling bling!" as the title for this post, it's just what sprang to mind. :-)

Today Blizzard finally banned casinos in the game, which is a really good thing, in my opinion. These retards were getting waaaaay too spammy and obnoxious. So well done, Blizzard.

Speaking of bling (loot), I did this quest in the Sunken Temple called "The Secret of the Circle" or something like that. It was a total PAIN IN THE ASS, and when it was done, besides the standard xp reward I got a chest full of "treasure." And here's a picture of the treasure. Three items, all mostly useless to me. I threw the ring in the bank, just in case. Oh well.

Here's what Betteh looks like currently, except I usually keep the helm (the big blue dorky thing on her head) hidden in-game. That Runecloth Robe was one of the best investments I ever made. I've gotten tons of use out of it, it's black and white so it goes with nearly everything, and it has these cool cutouts on the front, back, and shoulders; so just by adding a different colored shirt, you can change your look to match whatever. Looking good is important.

This is the actual Dark Portal! It's in the Blasted Lands. I couldn't get any closer because it's surrounded by these level 55-ish demons, who looked like they wanted take a bit out of my hiney. Funky though.

And finally, I made another toon to play with some former Intrepidians on Lothar. I used to play a druid there, until it became less fun than major dental work. I did the wise thing this time around and made a priest.

A rant, and some other stuff

Let me start with the other stuff.

Betteh wore this outfit for about a day, there are two versions - the colorful, and the not-quite-as-colorful. She's wearing neither now.

She ate this food called Savory Deviant's Delight, and it gave her a disguise!

Sight-seeing at the Tomb of Uther.

OK Here's the Rant...

People who do this attempted scam on the Auction House really annoy me. First of all, who is stupid enough to fall for it? Secondly, even trying to get away with it is just cheesy and lame beyond belief.

Here's one example. I really shouldn't have blurred the scammer's name, but there it is. Notice how the scammer has listed a buyout price of approximately the appropriate numeric value - but in gold, not silver. Lame.

Here's an even worse example. See how this same person has several listings for Thick Armor Kits? Most of them he has priced at 60s starting bid, 80s buyout. Then he lists one with an 80g buyout, hoping to trick a person not paying close attention into giving him a fat payday. Extremely lame.

I hope nobody actually falls for these things. One could argue "buyer beware," and if you're not paying close enough attention at the AH, maybe you deserve to be tricked. I would argue that it takes a pretty low person to resort to scamming like this on the AH in the first place. I make a note of the names of these scammers, and try not to purchase anything from them.

Be careful out there!

Why???

First of all, why is Blogger so damn slow?!? Oh so cliche, but it was fun nonetheless. It inspired some ho to dance with us. And she tailored it herself!

This look got her through her mid-late 20s.

She wore a Robe of Power that she tailored herself for several levels, then briefly flirted with the goth look of the black mageweave vest/leggings.

Frankly I wasn't thrilled with that, so when I got the pattern Betteh made a Crimson Robe and sported that up until 45 or so.

Here's how she basically looks today, with minor variations.
